What is VR (Virtual Reality)?

Virtual Reality (VR) can be referred to as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated life-like experiences. VR is viewed within a Head Mounted Display (HMD) and uses audio and video to help place you virtually inside the action, so you really feel like your there. It’s an amazing way to experience new content and the best way is to try it!

What is Velvet?

Velvet is a platform for immersive video, virtual reality film that is viewable within a VR headset, such as Oculus Rift, Gear VR and HTC Vive . We provide a streaming stereoscopic video experience using cutting edge web technologies. Velvet enables you to immerse yourself in the best cinematic VR content available.

Can I use the Samsung Gear VR?

Yes. Downloading the LENS app from within the Oculus Store is easy and at no cost. Just open the app and connect the phone to the Gear VR and the phone will automatically launch LENS. From there, you can sign in, create an account and begin browsing and watching the best VR content.

How do I get an account or subscribe to Velvet from Samsung Gear VR?

  • Step 1. Download and install our app onto your phone. Please click here
  • Step 2. On the website velvet-reality.com, register for a Velvet Reality Account
  • Step 3. On the website velvet-reality.com, subscribe or purchase a video with a valid Credit Card

What do I need to use your product?

All you need is a VR device, we support all VR hardware - from a smartphone and a Google Cardboard, the Samsung GearVR all the way to the newest versions of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. However, to provide the best possible experience, and due to technical restrictions and performance requirements, we currently only support certain phones.

Where can I get the app?

Where can I get a headset?

The Google Cardboard is the most widely available VR viewing device, It’s a great introduction to VR – however we think you’ll love it so much that you’ll want a much better, more immersive experience. For that reason, we recommend trying out one of the devices below for the best experience that VR has to offer.

Is the iPhone supported?

Not yet, but soon. Due to some restrictions we don't support iPhones at this point. We are working on it. Please check back later.

I have a different device not mentioned anywhere.

Feel free to try. But be aware that we cannot guarantee a satisfying experience. Alternatively, contact developers directly with a description of your setup and we will do all that we can to help. Drop us a line at info@velvet-reality.com

I received an error "Max streaming devices reached"

We only allow 2 devices streaming at the same time, please stop one device from streaming before streaming on a different device.

Can I remove a device that I no longer used?

Yes you can, please go to My Account. Under devices section, you can remove devices that you no longer used. This will take up to 1 hour to remove it

How many devices can I add to my account?

You can add up to 5 devices

Can I cancel my subscription anytime I want?

Yes, you can, please go to plan details section and click Unsubscribe.

Why am I seeing "No Entitlements found" error message in the GearVR?

This error indicates that you haven't made a purchase for the title that you're intending to watch. Please visit velvet-reality.com website to make the purchase then login to Gear Vr again.

Why am I getting redirected to Zombaio when making a payment?

Zombaio is our trusted payment gateway provider for credit card payments. In order for us to comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations, we don't store your credit cards on our site. All your transactions are kept secured and confidential

Server or Internet Issue

Unable to get information on available portals from our server. Please check that you are connected to the internet and are able to access access content from the web

To fix the issue, please go to your phone Settings --> Applications --> Application Manager then locate our "LENS GVR". Click "CLEAR DATA" then "CLEAR CACHE". Once done, start the app again
